Kids

Hi Everyone!

I'd like to welcome you to the Youth Room!  I am Weezy, the library guinea pig.  I've lived at the library since April 1, 2009 – the date I was adopted from the Humane Society.  I’d like to tell you about all the fun things you can do at the library.

The Youth Room has:

  • Programs – Weekly programs include Mother Goose on the Loose (ages 12 months – 24 months), Toddler Time (ages 2-3) and Story Hour (ages 3-6). We also have special programs that highlight events such as PA One Book – One Child.  Please call my humans at 946-0417 X 123 to register or to find out more information.
  • Soft Play Area – our Family Place play area has soft play surfaces for younger children as well as age-appropriate toys and resources for parents and caregivers.
  • Books – we have Board Books, regular Easy Reader books, Emerging Reader books for the younger readers and their families.  We also have Juvenile Fiction and Non-Fiction for kids up to 12.
  •  Music CDs – why not try some new music in your car or home?
  • Magazines – to look at here or borrow.
  • Entertainment DVDs – our DVDs may be checked out for $1.00 on an adult card and circulate for 7 days.
  • Educational DVDs – our Educational DVDs may be checked out for FREE on an adult card and circulate for 14 days.
  • Me!  Come and see me sometime and bring dandelion greens with you. I love to listen as you read to me.
