* PENNIES PROJECT COLLECTION GOING ON NOW! - Altoona Library is asking the community to drop off loose coins to collect $11,000 for children’s programming. Take advantage of these three easy ways:
• Drop off your change at the Pennies Barrel in the library and enter for a chance to win a prize.
• Drop your change in the AAPL Pennies Collection jars located at various local businesses and restaurants.
• On August 11, 2012 drop your change off during the DRIVE-BY COIN COLLECTION at the Altoona Library from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Staff and volunteers will be collecting from the sidewalks of 17th Street and 6th and 7th Avenues. Thank you!
