The Altoona Area Public Library provides exam proctoring services for up to 2 hours for $20.00 and $10.00 for every additional hour required.
What You Will Need
1Contact Your Educational Institution:
Every exam is different, so you will need to contact the educational institution for information about the exam you will be taking.
Next, you can contact one of our librarians to express interest in proctoring and collect their information for approval by your educational institution. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please provide enough time to have the proctor fill out and submit the paperwork requested by the learning institution. It is the student’s responsibility to contact the learning institution and arrange to have the exam sent to the Library (or password in the case of an online exam).
4Schedule Your Exam:
Once approved, you can schedule your exam. Several days to a week of notice is preferred for scheduling. Exams can only be scheduled from 8:30 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday when our librarians have availability. Call 814-946-0417 ext 161.
5Day of the Exam:
On the day of the exam, please provide your photo ID and whatever other materials are needed and allowed for the exam (notes, paper, calculator).
What We Will Do
The Library can provide a space to take the exam, a qualified Master’s degree holding librarian to proctor the exam, and a laptop with internet connection if needed. We will verify the student’s ID, administer the exam in accordance with the expectations of the educational institution, and return the completed exam to the educational institution.
What We Cannot Do
The Library cannot provide a private room to take the exam or pay for postage to return the exam.
