Computer Basic Training and Tech Appointments
The Altoona Area Public Library is pleased to offer Computer basics classes for beginner computer users as well as an introduction to the Internet and email.
We also offer one-on-one 30-minute appointments for any tech issue you would like help with.
Computer Basics
- Week 1: Learning the keyboard and mouse.
- Week 2: Introduction to Windows 10, files, folders, and the start menu.
- Week 3: Safety and security on the Internet and Surfing the web and using search engines
- Week 4: Email Basics
One-on-one Appointments

Tablets, smartphones, flip phones, e-readers, laptops, Google Suite, Office, Windows, Social Media, Internet, Security. You name it we’ll help you with it. Want to learn something? Having a problem? Shopping? Just curious?
Make a 30-minute appointment with us.
Computer basic classes meet Thursday mornings up to 4 times a month. Space is limited and registration is required.
We are also offering 30-minute one-on-one appointments for various individualized tech issues. These are usually Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons with Tuesday being downtown at our Transportation Center location. We will also have occasional time available on some Thursday mornings. Space is limited and registration is required.
There is no cost to attend these classes or appointments.
