The Friends of the Altoona Library hold a used book sale twice a year, once in the spring and again in the fall. Profits support programs and activities at the library. The Friends present the proceeds from their trust fund and money from their general fund to the Library each year for materials and programming. Last year the Friends donated over $50,000 to the Library.
If you would like to donate for the book sale, books are accepted at the main adult circulation desk or the receiving entrance of the library during regular business hours. Textbooks and encyclopedias are not accepted.
The next upcoming sale is Friday, April 20th, Saturday, April 21st, and Monday, April 23rd.
Friday 9 am – 5 pm
Saturday 9 am – 5 pm
