The Friends of the Altoona Library hold a used book sale twice a year, once in the spring and again in the fall. Profits support programs and activities at the library. The Friends present the proceeds from their trust fund and money from their general fund to the Library each year for materials and programming. Last year the Friends donated over $50,000 to the Library.
If you would like to donate to the book sale, books are accepted at the main adult circulation desk or the receiving entrance of the library during regular business hours. For further information about what items can be donated, click here.
